BackupPetti
Last updated: 5 September 2026
BackupPetti (“the app”, “we”, “us”) helps you save documents, photos and links you share into it, and back them up to a cloud folder you choose. This policy explains, in plain language, what the app does and does not do with your information.
If you grant the optional Contacts permission, the app uses your contact names only to suggest names on your device when you label who shared a file. This happens entirely on your phone. Your contacts are never uploaded or shared, and the permission is optional — the app works without it.
To understand how the app is used and improve it, we use Google Firebase Analytics. This collects anonymous, aggregate information such as which features are used (for example, that a backup was set up or a chat was imported), the app version, and general device and region data. It is tied to a random app-instance identifier, not to your name or account, and it does not include your files, file names, contacts, or the contents of anything you save.
This data is processed by Google. See Google’s Privacy Policy and Firebase Privacy information.
The app uses the internet only to (a) fetch preview thumbnails for links you save and (b) send the anonymous analytics described above. It does not upload your files anywhere except the backup drive you choose.
The app sends a notification only for a reminder you set yourself, plus a silent progress notice while a backup you started is running (it disappears when the backup ends). We do not send marketing, promotional, or any other notifications.
BackupPetti has no account and no login. We do not ask for your name, email, phone number, or password.
We do not sell your data, and we do not share personal information with third parties, except the anonymous analytics processed by Google as described above.
Your saved items live on your device (and in your own backup drive) for as long as you keep them. Deleting an item in the app removes it from the app; uninstalling the app removes all app data from your device. You control the copies in your own cloud drive. To stop analytics collection, uninstall the app.
BackupPetti is intended for a general adult audience and is not directed at children under 13.
If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page.
